KUALA LUMPUR: The new Suzuki SV650 is now officially available in Malaysia, priced at RM29,900 (excluding registration, road tax, and insurance).
Available at Suzuki Big Bike World and Suzuki Station Plus dealerships nationwide, the model is now in the fourth generation after its debut in 1999.
Its Euro 5-compliant 645cc V-twin engine, features two spark plugs per cylinder for more combustion efficiency, delivers 74.9hp and 59.9Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed transmission.
The suspension includes preload adjustable system for the front telescopic fork and rear monoshock.
The 198kg motorcycle has a 14-litre fuel tank while the standard two-channel ABS comes with front dual 290mm discs with twin callipers and a single rear disc.
Other features Suzuki Low RPM Assist which prevents stalling during low-speed riding, Suzuki Easy Start System enables one-touch engine start and Engine Control Module (ECM) offers better fuel economy and linear throttle response.
