New Toyota Prius Hybrid all set for Nov 16 debut
By CARSIFU | 11 November 2022
TOKYO: A new generation Prius is around the corner. Toyota has announced the new hybrid is set for a world premiere on Nov 16.
Toyota's release of a few images of the car in shadows do reveal a few highlights. A frontal view shows the fifth-generation Prius will get aggressive headlights styled along the lines of the latest Crown models.
The bonnet sports dynamic lines that converge towards the Toyota logo on the nose.
The new Prius might have a front end without a grille, and the car looks sleeker in profile with bulging rear shoulders than its predecessor.
The 5-door fastback is expected to take fuel efficiency to a new level with aerodynamic upgrades.
Word is that the new Prius would be based on a new E3 platform. Apart from a petrol-electric hybrid, rumours have been going around that a hydrogen-electric variant is also in the works and would be launched in 2025.
