Nio Firefly to launch in Singapore in 2026

SINGAPORE: The Nio Firefly compact electric car is set to enter Singapore in 2026, where the company will partner with Wearnes Automotive, a leading luxury automotive retailer in the Asia-Pacific region.

In a statement, Nio, one of China's largest EV (electric vehicle) players by sales, said it plans to enter Singapore, Uzbekistan, and Costa Rica in 2025 and 2026 with models from Nio, Onvo, and Firefly.

The Singapore launch of the Firefly will mark the launch of Nio’s first-ever right-hand drive model.

In Costa Rica, Nio will partner with Horizontes Cielo Azul Movilidad, the country’s largest electric vehicle distributor.

In Uzbekistan, Nio will partner with Abu Sahiy Motors, a leading local group with a broad presence across logistics, real estate, and automotive sales and services.

These partnerships marks Nio’s first venture into the Americas and the Central Asian automotive market.
