Nissan LEAF: Technical highlights

TOKYO/LONDON: The third generation of the pioneering LEAF continues to lead the charge in Nissan’s electrification strategy with a sleek design, significantly extended range, and intuitive technology for today’s connected driver.
Here are the key points about the refreshed LEAF:
Aerodynamic design: Drag coefficient of 0.25, featuring flush door handles, full under-floor cover and flowing roofline to optimise airflow and extend driving range.
Cargo capacity: 437 litres boot volume; power liftgate available; optional roof rails for accessory crossbars.
Battery options:
> Standard: 52 kWh usable capacity, up to 435km WLTP range
> Extended: 75 kWh usable capacity, up to 604km WLTP range
Charging performance:
> DC fast-charging up to 150 kW
> Recovery of up to 418km of range in 30 minutes
> Highway efficiency of more than 330km at 130kph
Thermal management & navigation: Intelligent battery thermal management optimises battery temperature ahead of fast-charging; integrated Google Maps In-Car Route Planner automatically selects and prepares charging stops.
Vehicle-to-load (V2L): External device charging up to 3.6 kW via accessory adaptor for kettles, lights or grills.
Future Vehicle-to-grid (V2G): Hardware ready to return stored energy back to the grid when enabled.
Platform & chassis: CMF-EV modular platform with MacPherson front suspension and multi-link rear setup for balanced ride comfort and handling.
Driver assistance & regenerative systems:
> roPILOT Assist with Navi-link for adaptive cruise and curve support
> e-Pedal Step with adjustable regeneration via paddle shifters or Intelligent Distance Control
> 3D 8-point Around View® Monitor with real-time road visualisation
