No launch yet, so Maserati Grecale did this instead

MILAN: What do you do if you are a car maker and have to postpone your car launch?

Well, drum up some filler buzz, of course.

That's what Maserati was thinking when it delayed the launch of its Grecale SUV on Nov 16 to early 2022, blaming the global chip shortage for the change in dates.

The launch was replaced by a showy event where the folks at Maserati lined up the Grecale prototypes to form a huge Trident.

The outline was over 100 metres long and was made up of 80 cars.

As part of its global testing programme, over 250 development units of the Grecale are distributed across Japan, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, China, Finland and Italy.
