Shima is a brand from Poland and it is about 10 years old now.
This short cuff glove is priced at RM299.
First off, they come with the carbon-reinforced knuckle protector and ArmorPlus foam absorbers are like a shield for palms and fingers.
I appreciated the extra reinforcement on the sides and front palm; it adds durability without compromising flexibility.
The Hi-flow 3D Mesh fabric on the back palm gave me the needed ventilation.
As you all know, riding in hot weather can be a sweaty affair, but these gloves kept my palms and fingers cool and comfortable.
The natural leather inserts were well incorporated into the design and at the same it contributes to the gloves' overall toughness.
Comfort is where the X-BREEZE 2 really shines as the elastic panels on the fingers, material grip patches and the "floating knuckle" construction provide a snug fit that feels like a second skin.
They are not just about protection but about making sure palm and fingers are comfortable and ready for the ride.
I found the TouchTip™ technology on the index finger and thumb to be a useful feature.
This feature allows riders to call on their mobile phone without taking off the gloves.
In terms of materials, the blend of polyester, nylon and natural leather in the outer shell strikes a good balance.
They are durable yet flexible, and the 100% polyester lining adds to the overall comfort.
In conclusion, the Shima X-BREEZE 2 gloves offer solid protection, excellent ventilation and unmatched comfort.
