Omoda 4 and Omoda 7 SUVs confirmed for Australia

SYDNEY: The Omoda 4 and Omoda 7 SUVs (sport utility vehicles) are expected to arrive in Australian showrooms in the first half of 2027.

Omoda Jaecoo Australia said these new-generation of SUVs are set to strengthen Omoda’s presence in a growingly competitive Australian market.

Sitting below the Omoda 9, the two SUVs will broaden the brand’s offering across two of Australia’s most competitive segments.

The Omoda 7 is positioned as a sophisticated mid-size SUV and the Omoda 4 introducing a new compact SUV proposition aimed at a younger generation of Australian buyers.

“Omoda was created to challenge convention, and the arrival of the Omoda 4 and Omoda 7 is a perfect demonstration of that philosophy,” said Omoda Jaecoo Australia chief commercial officer Roy Munoz.

“Australian customers are looking for vehicles that combine distinctive design, advanced technology, strong value and electrified powertrain options, and these two models will allow us to offer even greater choice across some of the most important segments of the market.

"Expanding our new energy range is central to our growth in Australia, because it gives buyers the choice to match the technology to the way they actually drive. The Omoda 4 and Omoda 7 are exciting additions to our growing Australian portfolio, and we look forward to sharing more details with customers and media as we get closer to their respective launches."

Australian customers will also get the opportunity to get up close and personal with both Omodas at Everything Electric Sydney (Sept 18 - 20).
