Omoda Jaecoo surpasses 1 million global sales

BEIJING: Omoda Jaecoo has surpassed one million global vehicle sales in under three years, establishing the fastest trajectory to this milestone of any automotive brand house worldwide.

The achievement, confirmed during Auto China 2026 (Beijing Motor Show), coincides with the brand’s third anniversary.

This trajectory is underpinned by a record-breaking performance in March 2026, during which the brand delivered 61,254 vehicles globally, representing a 210% year-on-year increase.

In the UK, this momentum translated into a landmark moment last month, with the Jaecoo 7 becoming the best-selling car in the market.

Electrified vehicles continue to be a central driver of this momentum, with 39,716 new energy vehicles (NEVs) sold in the same period, up 471% compared to March 2025, reflecting growing global demand for efficient and accessible hybrid technologies.

All powertrains are engineered, designed and manufactured in-house by parent company Chery International.

Omoda Jaecoo UK CEO Gary Lan said: “Reaching one million global sales in under three years marks an important milestone for Omoda Jaecoo and reflects the progress made through our global strategy. From the outset, our brand house has been focused on international growth, supported by technology, design and an understanding of customer needs."

“This milestone highlights the progress to date and the opportunities ahead. With continued growth across Europe and an expanding presence in the UK, we are focused on the next phase of development, supported by new products, ongoing investment in electrification and a commitment to innovation.”

At Auto China 2026, Omoda Jaecoo also presented the global debut of its Valet Parking Driver (VPD) intelligent parking technology.

The system was demonstrated through dedicated experience zones, allowing participants to engage directly with its functionality and highlighting its potential to enhance everyday usability through advanced driver-assistance capabilities.

The Beijing Auto Show also provided the platform for the debut of the Omoda 4, which officially rolled off the production line on April 26, and confirmed for the UK market in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Designed with a strong emphasis on future-facing design, “Cyber Mecha” and digital integration, the model reflects the brand’s focus on appealing to a new generation of globally connected customers.
