SERDANG: smart Malaysia has unveiled the latest smart #3 and opened order-taking for the all-electric SUV coupe.
Malaysia is the first Asean country to accept customer bookings for smart #3 and the first 333 pre-launch customers will receive smart official merchandise worth up to RM1,500.
The refundable booking fee is RM1,000 and the vehicle can be booked at any authorised of the 13 smart dealerships or through the Hello smart App.
Deliveries is expected to begin in the third quarter of the year.
Crafted by the Mercedes-Benz global design team, the smart #3 has won the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award.
The smart #3 will be available in BRABUS, Premium and Pro variants tailored for the Malaysian market.
Each variant offers unique features, from elegant design to dynamic driving proficiency.
BRABUS and Premium version, both boast a best-in-class 22kWh AC charger with the capability to charge the vehicle's battery from 10% to 80% in under 3 hours.
Additionally, the smart #3 incorporates cutting-edge safety technology, with 23 high-precision sensors supporting 21 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions as standard.
The smart #3 Premium features a Panoramic Halo Roof, CyberSparksLED+ with adaptive high-beam assist, an Illuminated Front Grille, and a 66kWh NCM Battery.
It is equipped with a 200kW/343Nm single motor driving the rear wheels, delivering a WLTP range of 455km.
Designed for high-performance enthusiasts, the smart #3 BRABUS variant showcases an impressive 0-100kph acceleration time, achieving a best-in-class Rocket Launch Mode in just 3.7 seconds.
Powering the performance variant is a 315kW/543Nm Dual-Motor intelligent All-Wheel-Drive powertrain, ensuring exceptional handling and traction, and delivering a WLTP range of 415km.
"Our announcement of the early-bird deal rewards customers who seize the opportunity to become among the first owners of the smart #3," said smart Malaysia chief executive officer Zhang Qiang.
He also said the prices of the smart #1 have been reduced to RM169,00 for the Pro variant and RM209,000 for the Premium.
Previously, the Pro was priced at RM189,000 and the Premium at RM219,000.
This strategic adjustment, combined with a global price realignment from smart Global, reflects the brand's dedication to providing exceptional value and fostering inclusivity within the smart community.
To further demonstrate smart Malaysia's commitment to earlier smart #1 Pro and Premium buyers, they will be offered a complimentary 4-year service package.
