IPOH: The emergency and left southbound lanes on the North-South Expressway between Bidor and Sungkai will be closed over two stretches of five days each to facilitate maintenance works.

A PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) spokesman said pavement maintenance work on the affected stretch between KM342 and KM343 started on Monday.

"This stretch will be closed until 8am on March 26," the spokesman said in a statement on Tuesday (March 23).

"It will also be closed from 8am on April 5 and reopen at 8am on April 9.

"The right lane of the affected stretch is still passable to all vehicles.

"All road users heading south are strongly advised to plan their journey using the PLUS app and to check the latest traffic conditions via CCTV feeds.

"Customers passing through the designated area are also advised to follow all traffic signage and instructions by PLUS personnel," the spokesman added.

He said motorists who encountered difficulties could use the SOS button in the app to ask for help from PLUSRonda teams.
