Perodua donates 9 cars to Selangor police

RAWANG: Perodua has contributed nine vehicles to two district police headquarters (IPD), namely IPD Hulu Selangor and IPD KLIA in show of support towards law enforcement within Selangor.

The contribution, consisting of seven units of the Perodua Ativa and two units of the Aruz, were donated as part of Perodua’s corporate social responsibility initiative.

“We appreciate the police’s role in the safety of the country, and we value their sacrifice and dedication when performing their duties," said Perodua president and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

“We hope our contribution will help in their efforts to serve the public.”

The delivery of vehicles began in April this year, with the first three units of the Ativa given to the IPD Hulu Selangor while the remaining six units of vehicles were handed over in a ceremony held at Kuala Kubu Bharu in October 2026.

The event was attended by Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar who received mock keys from Zainal.

Perodua has been working closely with the police, particularly in Selangor.

Since 2019, the compact car company has contributed 21 vehicles to various district headquarters in the state.

Aside from the recent handover, Perodua had donated two units of Bezza (in 2019); four units of Myvi (in 2022) as well as six units of vehicles of various models in 2024.
