KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Dagangan and electric Vehicle (EV) tech mobility company Blueshark Ecosystem have set up Blueshark Malaysia to sell electric motorcycles and run battery-swap stations across the country.
The new company combines Petronas Dagangan’s fuel station network with Blueshark’s bike technology. It builds on work the two began in 2022.
Blueshark Malaysia will be the sole seller of Blueshark-brand two-wheelers, including the Soloera model, and will operate swap-out battery points at selected Petronas outlets. Stations are already live in the Klang Valley, Penang and Johor, with rollout to more states planned.

Technology partner Sharkgulf Technologies Group will supply smart batteries, connected powertrains and software for safety and performance.
Local assembler EP Blueshark, part of EP Manufacturing, will import and build the bikes from CKD kits, handling logistics and production for the Malaysian market.
Petronas Dagangan’s CEO, Azrul Osman Rani, said the venture marks a shift beyond fuels to cleaner mobility solutions.
Blueshark Ecosystem’s CEO, Jeff Chong, added that the move woud grow Malaysia’s electric two-wheeler scene and help cut carbon emissions.
