Peugeot Malaysia delivers new 408 to first 10 owners in Malaysia
By CARSIFU | 28 May 2024KUALA LUMPUR: Peugeot Malaysia has handed over the first batch of the all-new 408 to the first 10 owners in Malaysia, who placed their orders mid-April.
The new 408 has received over 300 bookings since order-taking began, where 60% are for the GT variant, 22% for the Premium and 18% for the Allure.
Jamie Francis Morais, managing director of Stellantis Malaysia said, “Today marks the starting point in the Peugeot 408 story as we begin delivering customer orders. We look forward to maintaining and keeping up with the momentum of the 408.”
Axel Cruau, the French Ambassador to Malaysia, has chosen the 408 GT as the official embassy vehicle.
Featuring a completely redesigned exterior, the new 408 incorporates unique feline cues throughout its dynamic fastback silhouette.
Notably, the 408 breaks new ground by being the first to wear the brand's all-new Peugeot logo and features the latest Peugeot i-Cockpit interior with high-vents architecture, an exhilarating 1.6-litre turbocharged PureTech engine producing 218hp, and 18-inch Granite Grey and Granite Black wheels for the Allure and Premium.
The all-new 408 is locally assembled and retails at RM146,055 for the Allure, RM166,055 for the Premium, and RM196,055 for the flagship GT.
Prices inclusive of up to a 7-year warranty or 200,000km, whichever is first.
