KUALA LUMPUR: Aveta International Sdn Bhd has entered into a strategic partnership with Peugeot Motocycles to set the stage for the latter's official entry into the country.
Set to debut in the first quarter of 2026, Peugeot Motocycles aims to position itself in Malaysia as a premium-yet-accessible choice for consumers seeking both style and practicality in their daily commute.
The company maintains a global presence spanning more than 3,000 points of sale worldwide.
This includes its 250 dealerships in France with 67% of the conmpany's sales coming from international markets.
The brand currently has five models in the global market with three of its premium models (Peugeot Metropolis, XP400 and Pulsion) produced at its state-of-the-art factory in France.
Its Django Classic and Speedfight modern sport scooters are manufactured in China and Vietnam, respectively.
Peugeot Motocycles APAC director Judah Immanuel Sangaran said Aveta was sought as a partner for their professionalism, strong governance, deep market understanding and a proven execution track record.
"Aveta meets those standards with confidence in addition to having a dedicated team focused on Peugeot Motocycles and strong marketing capabilities.
“Asia is an important region for our long-term expansion, and Malaysia plays a key part in that journey… We are confident that Malaysian consumers will enjoy a premium, authentic Peugeot Motocycles experience in sales, service and customer care that is fully aligned with our global brand standards,” said Judah.
Aveta International group managing director Steven Lim added that the partnership strengthens their position in the market and raises the standard of urban mobility for Malaysian riders.
"Peugeot Motocycles complements our expanding portfolio and reflects our commitment to delivering a world-class ownership experience.
"Our focus is to ensure that every rider enjoys premium French design and engineering, supported by the establishment of Peugeot Motocycles flagship stores across key regions," said Lim.
