PETALING JAYA: NAZA Premira, the sole distributor of Piaggio motorcycles in Malaysia has unveiled a 149cc Medley S 150 ABS.

At RM19,000 (on-the-road with GST and insurance), it comes available in three colour combination of Red/Gre, Blue/Grey and Black/Grey.

The first 33 units sold will receive a rear carrier, top-box with back rest, floor matt and a two-year free service on top of the standard two-year manufacturer's warranty.

A 7.0-litre petrol tank feeds a 149cc single-piston four-stroke motor that comes with start/stop functionality and is married to a continuously variable transmission, which manages its 14.75hp at 7,750rpm and 14.4Nm of torque at 6,400rpm.

The engine has a 10,000km service interval and requires valve-clearance adjustments every 20,000km.

With a wheelbase of 1,390mm, the bike measures 2,020mm-long and 705mm-wide - putting its saddle height at 799mm.

It rolls on 16.0-inch (front) and 14.0-inch (rear) wheels fitted with 100/80 (front) and 110/80 (rear) tyres.

With LEDs showing the way forward, stopping power comes from the 260mm (front) and 240mm (rear) disc brakes - each with a two-piston floating caliper, and is bolstered by a two-channel anti-lock braking system.

As for ride comfort,, the front end sports an 88mm-stroke hydraulic telescopic fork and rear double dual-efficient hydraulic shock absorber with five pre-load positions and a 76mm-stroke.

In terms of convenience, there's a USB socket inside the glove box as well as a 36.2-litre helmet compartment under the seat that's able to fit two three-quarter helmets.
