Porsche 911 T fully restored under classic partner programme

JOHOR BAHRU: Porsche Malaysia has completed its first full ground-up restoration of a classic 911 T (Touring).

The project was undertaken entirely in-house at the Porsche Centre Johor Bahru by technicians certified under the Porsche Classic Partner programme.

The months-long restoration journey was more than a simple repair as it required every panel and component to be carefully disassembled, documented, and rebuilt to original factory specifications.

It was a process guided by factory standards and driven by deep respect for the car’s heritage.

One of Porsche’s most elusive classic models, the 911 T was first launched in 1967 as an entry-level variant of the iconic 911 range - developed as a more accessible counterpart to its higher-spec siblings, the 911 S and 911 E.

Though it features a less powerful engine the 911 T shares the same fundamental design DNA that made the 911 a legend.

This particular restored unit now rolls out of Porsche Centre Johor Bahru as the first-ever Porsche classic model fully restored from the ground up in Malaysia.

The achievement also underscores the capabilities of Porsche Centre Johor Bahru, which is the nation's first 4S facility to be officially recognised as a Porsche Classic Partner.

Porsche Centre Johor Bahru houses a showroom while offering certified bodywork, paint services, and advanced repair techniques tailored specifically for models that have been out of production for at least ten years.

It is one of the few facilities globally endorsed and entrusted by Porsche AG with preserving the essence of these vintage icons.
