STUTTGART: Porsche AG has announced the addition of two new models to its Cayenne line-up, the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupé, finalising the range that underwent significant revisions in 2023.

These latest iterations highlight a blend of heightened performance and everyday usability, with a focus on delivering a more dynamic driving experience.

At the heart of the 2024 Cayenne GTS models is a formidable 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which now produces 368 kW (500 PS). This marks an increase of 30 kW (40 PS) from the previous versions.

The engine’s efficiency improvements also enhance torque, boosting it to 660 Nm —an increase of 40Nm. These enhancements contribute to the SUV's impressive acceleration from 0 to 100kph in just 4.4 seconds, and a top speed of 275kph.

Both the Cayenne GTS and its Coupé counterpart boast an adaptive air suspension standard, inclusive of Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus).

This sophisticated chassis technology, originally developed for the high-performance Cayenne Turbo GT, lowers the ride height by 10mm, optimising the vehicles for superior on-road performance.

Further chassis refinements include two-valve damper technology for responsive handling, and a specialized air suspension system that maintains a dynamic drive while ensuring comfort.

The models also feature increased negative camber on the front axle, enhancing cornering agility and handling dynamics, making them capable performers on both road and track.

Aesthetically, the GTS models carry Porsche's signature sporty design with unique elements such as black "GTS" lettering, larger air intakes, dark-tinted lights, and red brake callipers.

The 2024 models introduce new High-Gloss Black finishes on various exterior components like side skirts and wheel arch extensions, contrasting with dark bronze tailpipes—an aesthetic update from previous models.

Additionally, 21-inch RS Spyder-design wheels in anthracite grey round out the exterior enhancements.

Inside, the Cayenne GTS models prioritise comfort and style with a heated GT sports steering wheel and extensive use of Race-Tex material, covering areas from the roof lining to the door panels.

The sports seats are designed with higher side bolsters for improved support during dynamic driving. Porsche also offers GTS-specific interior packages in Carmine Red or Slate Grey Neo, allowing for further customisation.

Technological upgrades include a new Porsche Driver Experience system featuring a curved digital instrument cluster and an optional passenger display.

The inclusion of a Bose surround sound system and ambient lighting enhances the cabin experience, aligning with the vehicle’s luxury sport status.

The Cayenne GTS Coupé distinguishes itself with a fixed panoramic glass roof and an adaptive extending rear spoiler as standard features.

Optional lightweight sports packages can reduce the vehicle's weight by up to 25kg, emphasising the model's performance capabilities.

Both the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne GTS Coupé are currently available for order, with deliveries in Europe scheduled to start in the summer of 2024.
