Pre-booking open for BMW M3 and M4 Competition from RM665K (est)

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW Malaysia has launched its latest campaign for its high-performance BMW M portfolio.

The company is allowing online pre-bookings to commence for the M3 Competition (G80) and M4 Competition Coupé (G82) from now until Dec 31 at RM5,000 each and deliveries have been earmarked to start in early 2021.

Estimated pricing for the new models (on-the-road without insurance) starts with the BMW M3 Competition at an estimated RM664,800 or RM722,800.

The M4 Competition gets tagged at an estimated RM684,800 or RM740,800 with the Innovation Package.

In stock "Competition" form, both cars are powered by an up-tuned 3.0-litre (2,998cc) twin-turbo straight-six S58 engine producing 510PS at 6,250rpm and 650Nm from 2,750rpm to 5,500rpm.

Comparing to the stock S58 engine, output has been rated at 480PS at 6,250rpm and 550Nm of torque from 2,650 to 6,130rpm.

The engines are managed by an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission with Drivelogic for the rear wheels.

An M xDrive all-wheel-drive option will only find its way here sometime in the middle of 2021.

In rear-wheel-drive guise, both cars will be able to sprint from 0 to 100kph in 3.9 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250kph.

As standard, the M3 and M4 Competition will come slapped with a BMW Individual carbon-reinforced fibre roof, LED headlights and black chrome exhaust tips.

High-gloss black accents get applied to the controversial front grille, lower bumper edges, window frames, exterior mirrors, side sills, rear boot spoiler and rear diffuser.

Both vehicles roll on 19-inch (front) and 20-inch (rear) double-spoke Style 826 M bicolour M forged alloys that wear 275/35 (front) and 285/30 (rears) series tyres

Partially obscured are the performance braking system and the Adaptive M suspension.

Inside, the cabin gets Black Merino leather upholstery for the M Sports seats with illuminated model designation, anthracite headliner from BMW Individual and piano-black accents.

The Innovation Package includes BMW Laserlight, powered sunroof roof, black double-spoke 825 M bicolour M forged wheels, M seat belts, BMW Individual piano-black accents and a choice of Kyalami Orange, Yas Marina Blue or Silverstone for the door cards.
