PETALING JAYA: Pro ICE Sales & Services (M) Sdn Bhd has introduced the AuraAI X100, a next-generation electric vehicle-styled aftermarket head unit for existing petrol-powered cars.
The X100 replaces existing legacy head units and offers a larger and more vibrant Ultra 2K HD resolution screen for better viewing clarity and smoother video playback.
The AI-powered head unit is available in display sizes of 13.1, 12.5, 12.3, and 11.5 inches.
Processor is a 6nm-type with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage which promises high responsiveness.
The X100 also offers high-quality audio output, a dedicated Digital Signal Processor and steering wheel control support.
By integrating navigation, media and AI interaction into one system, users will no longer need smartphones to access their car's infotainment system.
Aside from tapping menus, users can say “Hey Aura” to access controls.
The unit also gets built-in 4G connectivity, integrated navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with features like Pedestrian and Motorcycle Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning and Forward Vehicle Start Alert.
The ADAS also provides visual and audio alerts for quicker user response as well as multi-screen functionality.
The Over-the-Air (OTA) feature enables convenient system updates with the latest software.
Pro ICE has also successfully installed the X100 into a 2014 Toyota Harrier, a Honda Civic FC and a first-generation Proton X70.
Pro ICE managing director Sebastian Tan said the X100 was designed to be more than just a simple display screen enlargement.
"The X100 is an integrated intelligent platform that enhances the infotainment experience, refines the vehicle's interior aesthetics, and improves safety through ADAS," he said.
Pro ICE founder and managing director Datuk Seri Roger Tan said petrol-powered cars are still mechanically sound and that owners should not be confined to legacy audio systems.
"Owners can extend the appeal of their cars by integrating cutting-edge digital mobility accessibility that matches the latest lifestyle," he said.
Priced at RM3,999, the X100 is available at authorised dealers in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
The unit can also be further enhanced with an optional 360-degree surround view camera to make parking easier.
