Proton e.MAS: 11.6K units delivered Jan - April 2026

SHAH ALAM: Proton e.MAS sales surged by 329.5% in the first four months of 2026, with 11,617 units delivered nationwide.

Pro-Net, the distribution and sales arm for Proton new energy vehicles (NEV), says the explosive growth was driven by strong demand for its growing range of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Pro-Net is accelerating its nationwide expansion while simultaneously introducing a new premium retail identity designed to elevate the customer ownership experience.

The company has expanded its dealer footprint with the opening of two new Proton e.MAS outlets this month.

One outlet is located along Jalan Sultan Ismail in the heart of Kuala Lumpur alongside its sister ICE (internal combustion engine) showroom, while the second becomes the brand’s latest shopping mall-based outlet at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Both new outlets debut the latest Proton e.MAS corporate identity (CI), introducing a more sophisticated and immersive retail environment.

The new showroom concept features refreshed colours, premium materials, modern digital elements and upgraded customer touchpoints.

The refreshed CI also signals a strategic shift for Proton e.MAS as the brand matures from an emerging EV player into a more established mobility ecosystem supported by strong sales, aftersales and customer engagement capabilities.

Currently, Proton e.MAS operates 53 sales outlets nationwide.

The network supports 1,600 employees across sales, servicing, and administration functions.

“The rapid growth of Proton e.MAS in Malaysia is driven not only by the strength of our product lineup, but also by the confidence customers have in our sales and aftersales ecosystem,” said Pro-Net CEO Zhang Qiang.

“By establishing a strong support structure alongside every model launch, we can give customers greater reassurance about the long-term ownership experience while strengthening brand loyalty and advocacy."
