PORT LOUIS, Mauritius: The Proton e.MAS 7 has been launched in Mauritius, and the island nation is the fourth international market to receive Proton's first EV (electric vehicle).
The e.MAS 7 is already Proton’s third most popular export model, behind the Saga and X50.
Held in Port Louis, the launch event was officiated by Proton International Corp Sdn Bhd (PICSB) CEO Edmund Lim Meng Thong and witnessed by Mauritius Transportation Minister Osman Mahomed and Proton Mauritius CEO Ally Dusmohamud, representing the Autonexx Group.
The occasion also marked the delivery of units to the first 10 customers in Mauritius.
With over 35 years of experience in the Mauritian automotive industry, Autonexx has been a trusted partner in strengthening Proton’s brand presence and customer confidence on the island.

Proton Mauritius is introducing an early-bird promotion for the first 30 customers.
