SHAH ALAM: The Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV (plug-in hybrid) now has Emerald Green as a new exterior colour.

Powered by EM-i Advanced Hybrid Technology, the e.MAS 7 PHEV combines a 1.5-litre hybrid-dedicated engine with an 11-in-1 Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).
Tuned specifically for hybrid operation, the engine achieves a class-leading thermal efficiency of up to 46.5%, enabling stronger fuel economy while operating quietly in the background.
The system produces 160kW (217PS) of power and 262Nm of torque, giving drivers strong acceleration.
The hybrid system automatically switches between EV (electric vehicle) mode, series hybrid mode, and parallel hybrid mode depending on driving conditions.
For most daily journeys, the vehicle operates in EV or series-hybrid mode, where the engine generates electricity to power the traction motor or recharge the battery.
During highway cruising or higher-load situations, the system can engage direct engine drive for greater efficiency and performance.
Drivers can also select between Pure, Hybrid and Power driving modes depending on their needs.
The e.MAS 7 PHEV delivers fuel consumption as low as 4.3 litres per 100km, while maintaining a 10-year service cost below RM8,000.
