Proton e.MAS expands condo charging network

SHAH ALAM: The charging ecosystem for EVs (electric vehicles) cars continues to be expanded at participating condominiums and high-rise residences, where Proton e.MAS owners enjoy exclusive residential charging rates from 63 sen per kWh via the Proton e.MAS app.

This special e.MAS owner rate will be available until Dec 31, 2026.

Over 1,500 charging points are available across more than 500 participating condominiums nationwide, with strong availability in key urban areas including Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Pro-Net is a wholly owned subsidiary of Proton Holdings Bhd.

“As more Malaysians transition to sustainable mobility, it is important that EV charging solutions cater to different living environments, such as those in condominiums or high-rise residences,” said Pro-Net CEO Zhang Qiang.

Pro-Net says coverage continues to expand across key regions, including the Klang Valley, Penang, and Johor, alongside additional locations in Sabah, Sarawak, and other major cities.

According to Pro-Net, EV owners can enjoy over 30% monthly energy cost savings compared to petrol-powered vehicles.

To access condominium charging via the Proton e.MAS App, customers simply need to:

  • Open the Proton e.MAS app and access the Charging Map function.
  • Select the preferred charging station at your residential area and choose the correct connector based on the physical label displayed on the charger.
  • Complete the pre-authorisation process to begin the charging session.
  • Start charging and manage the session conveniently through the app.

By enabling convenient charging and integrating the experience into a single app, users can locate, activate, and pay without relying on multiple third-party apps.
