SHAH ALAM: Proton has issued a statement regarding a fire at a body and paint (B&P) dealership facility in Sungai Buloh.
At 5pm on Jan 7, 2026, a fire broke out at Proton Salient Progress (B&P), located at Lot 906 & 907, Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh, Shah Alam, Selangor.
The Fire and Rescue Department brought the blaze under control by 8pm.
The cause and extent of damage resulting from the incident are currently under investigation.
At this point, there is no indication that the incident was caused by any product-related issue.
Importantly, no injuries or loss of life were reported.
The incident is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities, with the dealer working closely with them throughout the process.
Proton will support the dealer in addressing customer-related matters, and affected customers will be contacted immediately.
The Salient Progress Kepong 4S showroom, located at No. 246, Batu 6 1/2, Jln Besar Kepong, Kuala Lumpur is unaffected and continues normal daily operations.
