PETALING JAYA: Proton will be introducing a new X70 sporting a mild refresh on June 9.
Ahead of the launch, it has begun teasing the new SUV's arrival with photos of the wheel followed by the engine on its Facebook page..
If the wheel looks familiar, it's the same 19-inch wheel from the special edition X70 that came out in 2021. So expect it to be available for one or more of the lower liners.
As for the powerplant, the X70 is expected to adopt the same 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged engine as the X50, since some export markets are already getting such engine option. Whether all variants will use the 1.5-litre mill remains to be seen.
Proton will also likely tweak the front and rear of the SUV in the mild facelift.
