Puchong landslide: Four cars pulled out from rubble


PETALING JAYA: The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has extracted the four cars that were swallowed in the landslide that occured on Dec 16 in Puchong, Selangor.

In a statement today, MBSJ says they were still installing retaining sheet piles at the 150m landslide site, and had reached 40.26% completion by Dec 21.

“The council takes this issue seriously, and is consistently working to enhance it by seeking the best methods for resolving the challenges at hand.

“Serdang police, in collaboration with the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, are monitoring the site around the clock and are looking out for any ground movements.

“The public are strictly prohibited from entering the affected area, and homeowners seeking access are directed to report to the nearby police post."

On Dec 16, it was reported that four cars and nine houses were affected during the landslide at Taman Wawasan 3/9 in Pusat Bandar Puchong.
