Puspakom rolls out GiCheck mobile app


SHAH ALAM: Puspakom Sdn Bhd's GiCheck mobile app is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

This completes Puspakom's rollout of its new digital booking ecosystem following the launch of its GiCheck website in January 2026.

“The mobile app is the latest development in Puspakom’s ongoing #MacamBaharu transformation, focused on improving customer experience through greater accuracy, clarity and operational efficiency,” said Puspakom CEO Mahmood Razak Bahman.

He added, “The GiCheck website, launched in January 2026, laid the foundation for a more stable and accurate booking system. The mobile app now extends that capability to customers who prefer mobile access, while maintaining the same data integrity and inspection standards.”


The GiCheck app replaces the MyPuspakom mobile application and serves as a mobile extension of the GiCheck website, which remains the main platform for vehicle inspection bookings with the most comprehensive functions.

Mahmood also advised commercial vehicle owners to plan their inspections earlier, noting that since March 2025 the Ministry of Transport has extended the inspection window for commercial vehicles from 14 days to 30 days before the Motor Vehicle Licence (MVL) expiry date.

“This extension by the Ministry of Transport gives vehicle owners greater flexibility to schedule inspections in advance, helping to ease congestion at inspection centres and support smoother operations, particularly during peak periods,” he said.

Mahmood said the importance of GiCheck lies not in introducing a new channel, but in addressing long-standing customer pain points, particularly booking errors caused by manual data entry and unclear inspection eligibility.

“Through direct integration with the Road Transport Department’s MySikap platform, GiCheck allows vehicle information to be retrieved more accurately, helping customers check inspection eligibility and required documents earlier in the booking journey,” he said.

Mahmood said this reduces failed bookings, inspection rejections and unnecessary repeat visits, while also supporting smoother operations at inspection centres nationwide.

“Compared to the previous MyPuspakom app, GiCheck offers a simpler booking flow, clearer guidance on inspection requirements, and MySikap-verified vehicle data, which benefits both customers and our operations,” he said.

Mahmood added that Mobile Inspection Services bookings continue to be available via www.GiCheck.my, while bulk bookings can be made via marketing@puspakom.com.my.
