Range Rover Electric: Up to 600km (NEDC), dual-motor, 550PS/850Nm


LONDON: The first-ever electric Range Rover marks a major milestone for the brand.

Built in Solihull – the home of Range Rover since 1970 – the Range Rover Electric features twin permanent magnet 260kW (354PS) electric motors generating up to 405kW (550PS) and 850Nm of torque.

It offers a range of up to 600km (NEDC), and a real-world range of up to 535km.

Using 350kW rapid DC public chargers, the Range Rover Electric can charge from 10-80 per cent in 22 minutes or add 220km in 10 minutes.


The first-ever electric Range Rover is powered by a usable 118.5kWh lithium-ion double-stack battery.

The advanced 800-volt architecture provides fast, adaptable split-charging capability.

Twin permanent magnet 260kW electric motors produce 20% more torque than other motors of the same size.

It will complete 0-100kph in 4.5 seconds, with power enabling overtaking speeds from 80-120kph of just 2.7 seconds.

New technologies enable precise control in all environments, including Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) which distributes rear torque from 100 per cent to zero per cent to prevent loss of traction, and Integrated Traction Management (ITM) which controls motor speed within 50 milliseconds and manages slip up to 100 times quicker than an ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicle equivalent.


Integrated Traction Management works in concert with the new Single Pedal mode, providing owners exceptional control to smoothly pull away up to 33-degrees with ease – a slope as steep as a black-diamond ski run – or complete a rolling climb ascend up to 45-degree slopes.

Single Pedal mode offers three levels of regeneration – Coast, Light and Heavy – with the Heavy harnessing up to 0.5g of regenerated energy to recharge the battery.

Clients can remain connected to their Range Rover Electric via the new Range Rover App.

With access to a suite of useful functions in the palm of their hand, clients can initiate cabin purification or the heated steering wheel, check their vehicle is locked, its live location and look at the current charge status and predicted driving range.

Tested in -40 degree Celsius temperatures in Arjeplog, Sweden, the heat of the Dubai desert and Jaguar Land Rover’s own Eastnor Castle facility in the UK, the Range Rover Electric has completed over 1.5 million kilometres and over a quarter of a million hours of testing in the virtual and physical worlds.
