KUCHING: Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia will bring the iconic Red Peak Challenge to Kuching, Sarawak in August, to give the public a rare opportunity to test the capabilities of the Triton.
The event is set to take place at Farley Mall, Kuching on Aug 23 – 24, 2025 (Saturday & Sunday) from 10am to 6pm.
Visitors will experience an adrenaline-pumping ride up a dramatic 45-degree peak ramp with professional instructors, demonstrating the Triton’s power and hill-climb control.
Guests can also take the wheel through a series of man-made obstacle courses designed to showcase the Triton’s superior driving performance.
Red Peak Climb
The legendary 45-degree Red Peak Climb is a purpose-built test designed to showcase Triton's exceptional grip and control on steep inclines.
Side Traverse Ramp
On challenging terrain, vehicles may experience 'body' twist when one-wheel lifts off the ground and if the chassis isn't built to withstand the force.
The 35-degree side ramp is designed to demonstrate the Triton’s body rigidity and stability in such conditions.
It also highlights the effectiveness of Triton’s 4WD system in maintaining traction and drivability, even when one wheel loses contact with the ground.
Inspired by the challenging conditions found in muddy plantations or construction sites, this test simulates a stuck situation.
The Triton’s Super Select 4WD-II system in 4HLC ensures power is evenly distributed to all wheels, maintaining optimal traction and control.
With 7 Drive Modes, especially Mud Mode, allow Triton navigates through difficult terrain smoothly.
Staircase Ramp
Designed to simulate uneven road conditions or downhill slopes, this ramp puts the Triton's legendary off-road technology to the test.
In Rock Mode, part of its 7 Drive Modes, the Triton effortlessly tackles this challenge.
Meanwhile, passengers will enjoy superior cabin comfort, with supportive seats that deliver a noticeably smoother ride compared to competitors.
Participants who test drive or book a vehicle during the event will be eligible for the Red Peak Challenge Lucky Draw, held daily at 5pm.
Each test drive earns one ticket, while a vehicle booking earns two tickets.
Attractive prizes include a Naturehike camping wagon (RM500), a Mitsubishi poler chair (RM300), and a Mitsubishi USB portable fan (RM200).
Also making an appearance is the Monster Energy Triton truck.
