Earlier, the company had teased the price of the J7 below RM200,000.
The vehicle will be available in 2WD (two-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) variants and estimated from RM150,000 and RM160,000 respectively.
The four colour options are Moonlight Silver, Carbon Crystal Black, Khaki White and Model Green.
Depending on the number of registrations, delivery of orders are anticipated to begin in the third quarter of this year.
Prospective customers can also register their interest and make enquiries about the J7 with Jaecoo representatives at the Jaecoo Premier Experience roadshow at 1Utama Shopping Centre (Level LG, Highstreet), Petaling Jaya or via the official Jaecoo website.
Additionally, interested customers can look forward to test driving the J7 in May.
Jaecoo Malaysia president Leo Chen said the company was encouraged to open the registration exercise after the public’s consistent interest in anticipation of the J7 following two successful roadshows.
