KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) and PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) have appointed Renate Noessler as their managing director and Kurt Leitner as co-managing director.
This also marks Noessler’s appointment as the first female head of both companies.
The duo will oversee both VPCM and PHSAM, with responsibility for strengthening Volkswagen’s market presence and driving Audi’s growth in Malaysia through enhanced customer experience and innovation.
Noessler brings 30 years of automotive experience, most recently serving as sales general manager at Audi Singapore, where she led sales and marketing initiatives across Southeast Asia.
She said she was “honoured to continue working with customers, dealer partners, the media and stakeholders in Malaysia” and aims to deliver exceptional experiences as both brands evolve.
Outgoing managing director Denyu Bostandzhiev, who led VPCM and PHSAM since July 2023, will move to a leadership role at Porsche Holdings Salzburg in Bulgaria.
During his tenure, he oversaw the launch of the Volkswagen Touareg, several special-edition models and the locally assembled Audi Q7.
