Selected from seven finalists, which included brands like BMW and Volvo, the Scenic secured first place with 329 points, decided by a jury of 59 motoring journalists from 22 countries.
This victory marks Renault's seventh win in the competition.
Fabrice Cambolive, Renault's CEO, expressed pride in the recognition, citing the Scenic's exceptional range, spaciousness, and eco-friendly design. Equipped with features like the Solarbay panoramic sunroof and the OpenR Link system, the Scenic aims to dominate the European EV market.
Developed on the medium AmpR platform, the Scenic E-Tech electric is tailored for versatility, boasting zero emissions, agility, and a compact design ideal for urban driving. With an impressive range of up to 610km (WLTP) and a comfortable interior loaded with tech, it caters to both city commuters and long-distance travellers.
The entry-level price for the Scenic E-Tech electric starts at 43,863 euros (RM227,000).
Orders are already open, with deliveries expected later in the year.
