Rimac introduces 2,107hp Nevera R

ZAGREB: Rimac has unveiled the Nevera R, a high-performance evolution of the Nevera hypercar.

Positioned as a more aggressive, track-focused variant, the Nevera R embodies Rimac's philosophy of being "Radical, Rebellious, and Relentless." This model shifts the Nevera from a hyper GT to a hyper sportscar, with enhancements aimed at cornering performance and speed.

The Nevera R comes with Rimac's all-wheel torque vectoring and advanced braking systems to enhance its cornering abilities.

Powered by a 2,107hp engine, it surpasses the straight-line performance of its predecessor, achieving 300kph in just 8.66 seconds.

Rimac Group founder and CEO Mate Rimac said the Nevera R car is lighter, faster, and more focused than the Nevera, incorporating re-engineered elements for improved agility and handling.

Visually, the Nevera R presents a sleeker and lower stance, with a design focused on aerodynamic efficiency.

It features 21-inch rear and 20-inch front wheels, a large fixed rear wing, and an aggressive aero package that increases downforce by 15% and improves aerodynamic efficiency by 10%.

New Michelin Cup 2 tyres reduce understeer by 10% and enhance lateral grip by 5%, contributing to a 3.8-second reduction in lap time around the Nardo Handling Track.

The Nevera R is built around a next-generation 108kWh Rimac battery pack, offering more power and efficiency in a lighter package. It features new EVO2 carbon ceramic brakes with a silicone matrix layer for improved stopping power and durability.

Key performance metrics include a top speed of 412kph, a 0-100kph in 1.81 seconds, and a quarter-mile time of 8.23 seconds.

The Nevera R, launched in Nebula Green, will be produced in a limited run of only 40 units worldwide.

Although the Nevera R is a more intense version of the Nevera, Rimac is already working on a one-seater track-only car that's even faster. Rimac told Motor1 that the car would be quicker than any race car currently competing in Formula 1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

It is also unrelated to the Nevera and could feature an internal combustion engine.
