ANGELHOLM (Sweden): Koenigsegg has introduced Sadair’s Spear, its most track-focused car to date.
Based on the Jesko, it is the third version of the model and is considered even more harcore than the track-focused Attack and high-speed Absolut.
Sadair’s Spear is so called because it pays tribute to the racehorse ridden by company founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, Jesko von Koenigsegg, in his final equestrian contest in 1976.
Production is limited to 30 units and each is road-legal and race-track ready. All 30 units have already been spoken for.
Topgear reported it sells for £3.8 million (RM22mil).

At its heart sits Koenigsegg’s twin-turbo 5.0 litre V8, producing 1,300hp on standard unleaded and 1,625hp when fed with E85 biofuel.
Peak torque reaches 1,000 Nm between 2,700 rpm and 6,170 rpm, with a maximum of 1,500Nm at 5,100 rpm. The unit redlines at 8,500 rpm and drives all four wheels via the nine-speed Light Speed Transmission and Koenigsegg Electronic Differential.
Weighing in at just 1,385kg (curb weight), the Sadair’s Spear combines aggressive aerodynamics—including a twin-blade active rear wing, enlarged front splitter, underfloor strakes and wheel-arch louvres — to generate up to 1,765kg of downforce.

The carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, Triplex dampers and Active Ride Height system enhance stability and steering precision.
The interior is pared back for laser-focus on lap times: carbon-fibre seats with optional six-point harnesses, a minimalist centre console and steering-wheel paddles only.
Amenities such as Koenigsegg’s SmartCluster display, USB connectivity, inductive phone charging and the Autoskin automated door system ensure everyday usability.
Koenigsegg refers to Sadair’s Spear as a"megacar". Though the terms supercar, hypercar and megacar are often used interchangeably, they denote progressively rarer, more extreme performance tiers, with the megacar being the most extreme.
