Setel delivers more conveniences for Budi95

KUALA LUMPUR: Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd (Setel), Malaysia’s first and fastest-growing fuelling and mobility app, will provide ease of access to Malaysians eligible for the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) programme from Sept 30.

Through a one-time verification on the app, users can refuel at over 1,000 Petrona stations without the need for manual MyKad verification at every transaction.

Once verified, users gain access to additional benefits in the Setel ecosystem such as the One-tap fuelling that lets customers activate the pump directly from their vehicle.

Meanwhile, Setel Lite ensures smooth performance on older mobile phones.

Every transaction also earns up to three times Mesra Rewards points.

Setel chief executive officer Abdullah Ayman Awaluddin said the enhancement is a natural progression in the company's effort to power a digital lifestyle that seamlessly integrates into day-to-day experience.

"Ultimately, Setel aims to simplify life for our users, making fuelling simpler and faster for Malaysians.

"With one-time verification on Setel, users can head straight to the pump, skip queues and earn rewards every time. We continue to focus on building solutions that deliver convenience and value to our customers at every step of the way," he said.

Beyond convenience, Setel prioritises security and privacy, operating under the regulations of Bank Negara Malaysia to safeguard users’ data throughout the verification and fuelling process.

This trusted framework highlights Setel’s commitment to providing safe, reliable and seamless
digital transactions.

Under the Budi95 programme announced by the Government, Malaysians aged 16 and above
with a MyKad and a valid driving licence will enjoy RON95 at RM1.99 per litre, up to 300 litres
per month.

E-hailing drivers will also be entitled to additional litres beyond the monthly cap to support their livelihoods.

Users were able to check their eligibility and Budi95 balance directly in the app since Sept 25.
