SEPANG: Shell Malaysia recently celebrated 26 years of its technical partnership with Ducati Corse, in MotoGP by unveiling the new Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50 (API SP), a premium motorcycle oil.
This unveiling took place at the 2025 MotoGP, which was held in Sepang International Circuit.
Formulated with Shell PurePlus Technology, a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into crystal-clear base oil with 99.5% purity, Shell Advance Ultra is engineered to deliver superior power, performance and protection.
The premium range now meets the latest API SP standard.

“Shell Advance, Malaysia’s top motorcycle oil brand, continues to elevate its technical partnership with Ducati Corse — bringing world-class innovation from the MotoGP track to everyday Malaysian riders," said Shell Lubricants Malaysia/Singapore and Southeast Asia cluster general manager Darlina Mohd Sibi.
"Our flagship product, Shell Advance Ultra, is co-developed with Ducati and tested under extreme conditions to deliver unmatched power, protection, and performance on both road and track," added Darlina.
A recent blind test pitting Shell Advance Ultra with an ester-based lubricant revealed a clear outcome with participating riders consistently choosing Shell Advance for its proven performance with better acceleration, gear change and engine noise.
Shell Advance is the only motorcycle engine oil used and recommended by Ducati Corse, and this longstanding technical partnership has powered Ducati Corse to secure a historic treble in winning the 2025 MotoGP Teams’ World Championship, Constructors’ Championship and Riders’ Championship with Marc Marquez.
Shell Advance Ultra retains horsepower across a wide range of speeds for up to 20,000km, delivers longer lasting performance with over 90% cleaner engine and improved fuel efficiency of up to 5km further per litre.
“We’re proud to collaborate with Shell Advance to push the boundaries of technological innovation and bring Ducati Corse’s winning performance to riders everywhere," said Ducati Corse sporting director Mauro Grassilli.
"For more than two decades, Ducati Corse has trusted Shell Advance at the highest level of MotoGP racing, and this year we are proud to celebrate their sixth consecutive MotoGP Constructors’ Championship together. It’s a privilege to bring that same winning technology to Malaysian riders, so our riders can experience that proven performance on our roads,” added Grassilli.
The launch of the Shell Advance Ultra kicks off the Shell Advance #CrazyGoodOil campaign in Malaysia, featuring Ducati Corse riders Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, with a series of exciting trade and consumer-led engagements set to follow.
Alongside the flagship Shell Advance Ultra 10W-50, the Shell Advance range also includes premium products such as the Advance Power 15W-50, Advance Long Ride 10W-40 and AX7 semi-synthetic series (10W-40, 15W-50).
