PETALING JAYA: Shell Malaysia, together with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, has unveiled its limited-edition Star Wars Racers Collection of remote-control (RC) cars.

Touted as the world's first Star Wars-themed RC cars, the collection will be made available from Oct 6 to Nov 19 with one design being made available per week – exclusively at Shell stations nationwide.



The RC cars are Darth Vader Racer, Stormtrooper Racer, The Mandalorian Racer, Boba Fett Racer, BB-8 Racer and Darth Maul Racer.

Darth Vader Racer and Stormtrooper Racer will be released on Oct 6, The Mandalorian Racer (Oct 14), Boba Fett Racer (Oct 21), BB-8 Racer (Oct 28) and Darth Maul Racer (Nov 4).



While stocks last, each RC car, except for the Darth Vader Racer, is available for purchase at RM49.90 with a minimum spend of RM50 worth of fuel purchase (Shell FuelSave 95, Shell V-Power or Shell V-Power Racing) on a single receipt.

The Darth Vader Racer will be provided free with every purchase of a 4.0-litre Shell Helix Ultra/Power lubricant pack at Shell stations.



A smart Bluetooth battery is also available at RM30 with a RM50 minimum spend on fuel.

The battery will allow collectors to power up and control the RC cars via the Shell Racing App which is available for free on Apple's App Store and Google's Play Store.



Customers can also purchase the Collector Casing at RM89.90 after they fill up with RM80 worth of Shell V-Power Racing on a single receipt.

"Timeless stories like Star Wars continue to resonate among fans of all ages in Malaysia and we knew we had to celebrate these passionate communities," said Shell Mobility Malaysia general manager Seow Lee Ming.



Seow added the Star Wars-inspired racing RC car designs are not only available as toy cars but also in digital versions that players can explore in the Shell Racing mobile app.
