KUALA TERENGGANU: Shell Malaysia, has officially launched its Shell Recharge East Coast to West Coast High-Performance Charging (HPC) network.
Travelers with electric vehicles (EVs) now have access to 180kW fast charging that spans from Kuala Lumpur to Terengganu.
The latest network now complements Shell's current North-to-South network that stretches from Johor to Perak to address range anxiety among the country's growing EV community.
With the launch, Shell Recharge, together with technical partner Porsche, is providing Porsche EV owners with special benefits that include additional reservation allowances and special tariff rates for charging throughout the country.
Meanwhile, EV owners on the KL-bound route will soon benefit from the new Shell LPT 1 R&R Temerloh HPC site.

Furthermore, in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya festive period, those using the latest Shell Recharge HPC sites from March 24 to April 4 will be provided with attractive credit rebates.
During the campaign period, EV owners can access new participating HPC chargers via the ParkEasy app.
For Platinum Members, a 100% credit rebate will be provided while Gold Members and pay-per-use users will receive a 50% rebate.

"With the launch of our latest Shell Recharge HPC network in Pahang and Terengganu, we are bridging a critical gap in ultra-fast charging solutions along the East Coast corridor," explained Seow.
"We will continue to invest in a connected and accessible charging network, ensuring EV drivers nationwide have the confidence to go further," she said.
Meanwhile, Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) chief executive officer Christopher Hunter said that shorter charging stops would allow Porsche EV owners to enjoy more time on the road.
SDAP is the authorised importer of Porsche vehicles in Malaysia since 2010.
While travelling to the latest East Coast HPC charging stations, members of the media were able to drive Porsche's latest all-electric Taycan and Macan models and were able to experience the short charging times provided by the HPC chargers.
