The Vision 7S study presented here is said to be an early look at the design of Skoda's planned flagship SUV, a three-row seven-seater with a length of almost five metres. Skoda also talked up their plans for a newly designed interior with more variability.
In the concept SUV, Skoda has implemented a so-called relax mode, in addition to the usual drive mode, in which the steering wheel retracts and the seats in the first row can be swivelled inwards. Suitability for series production: questionable.
There's also a huge screen in front of the centre console that can be rotated and used as a kind of cinema screen for breaks.
Also new is an optional child seat fixed between the first and second row on the centre tunnel, which Skoda says is the safest place in the whole car.
While the design and layout of the concept are new, the Vision 7S relies on familiar technology and uses the VW Group's Modular Electric Building Kit (MEB) with two as yet unclassified motors for all-wheel drive. It also has a range of at least 600km on an 89kWh battery.
Charging speed of up to 200kW is set to be made possible by market launch in two to three years, meaning drivers will have to take significantly shorter breaks at charging points than with the Enyaq.
