Based on Geely’s EV-specific SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform and Conceived by the Mercedes-Benz global design team, the smart #1 makes full use of its 2750mm wheelbase with a spacious five-seat cabin and up to 411 litres of luggage space thanks to a standard sliding second row (986 litres with the rear seats folded down).
With a 66kWh ternary lithium battery, the smart #1 is able to put out a peak power of 200 kW (272hp) and maximum torque of 343Nm, 180 km/h maximum speed and an AC charge of 10-80% at 22kW in three hours.
With DC superfast charging, this can be achieved in less than 30 minutes.
Travel range is between 420 and 440km, based on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) standard.
Drive modes include Eco, Comfort, and Sport and drivers can choose between three steering assist levels.
Three levels of energy regeneration can be chosen, and the smart #1 also offers intuitive, single-pedal driving with E-pedal technology.
Based on the brochure, the smart #1 comes with Maxtrix LED headlamps, concealed door handles and frameless doors, and a powered tailgate with kick sensor, and 235/45 R19 tyres.
There are also 10-way powered front seats (with memory function for driver's seat), a powered sun blind for the panoramic moonroof, and a centre glove box with chiller.
The minimalist-looking interior has customisable ambient light, full colour head up display, 13-speaker Beats high end audio system, 12.8-inch floating LCD touchscreen, 9.2-inch HD LCD instrument cluster and a Qi wireless charging pad.
Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, lane change assist, traffic jam assist, Front and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Parking Assist and a 360-degree camera system.
There are also AEB (Autonomous Emergency Brake), HWA (Highway Assist), EMA (Evasive Manoeuvre Assist), ELKA (Emergency Lane Keep Assist) and TJA (Traffic Jam Assist).
