KUALA LUMPUR: Car rental platform Socar has launched its first-ever MonthlyPass programme, allowing Malaysians to access a flexible and convenient travel experience while offering substantial savings on rentals of more than RM400 per month.
The Socar MonthlyPass, now at a special Ramadan price of RM99 until April 21, can be bought through its website.
With MonthlyPass, customers can tap into Socar's fleet of over 2,000 cars ranging from fuel-efficient compacts to spacious SUVs and everything in between.
Locations will equally be a breeze with more than 1,000 parking and pick-up zones available, SOCAR users will be able to find a car to rent as close as a minute away.
The new pass comes just in time for Ramadan and the festive Raya period ahead, where the uptick in short distance travel matches that of the balik kampung exodus.
Socar said its offering is set to help the millions of Malaysian Muslims who are observing the fasting period and preparing for the celebrations ahead.
“This way they can travel without having to worry about the individual cost of rentals, fuel, or maintenance. In essence, our MonthlyPass is designed to help people get where they need to go, when they need to go, without worrying about the cost or hassle of car ownership,” said Socar CEO Shylendra Nathan.
For travellers who may only need to rent occasionally, Socar has also introduced two additional deals to complement the MonthlyPass.
Bookings of up to two hours made between 9am-3pm will qualify for a 50% discount, while bookings of at least two hours between 4pm-8am will get a 35% discount.
Both offers are ongoing and valid until April 21.
