KUALA LUMPUR: SOCAR - Malaysia’s first car-sharing app, is inviting drivers to revisit the convenience of car-sharing.

The company said the recent drop in e-hailing ride availability and the accompanying price surge had generated a wave of dissatisfaction and complaints, leading to calls for the Government to standardise ride prices.

From daily commutes to special trips, customers can pick up their car round the clock at their nearest SOCAR zone - in over 1,000 locations across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Ipoh, Melaka, Seremban, Langkawi and Kota Kinabalu, or opt to have your booked car delivered to their doorstep with the SOCAR-2-YOU service.

The service is usually available from 8am to midnight, with one hour lead time, but may differ by city.

Customers can also choose to have the car picked up once they are done.

The company also has a service for car owners who were forced to use e-hailing to avoid the hassle of driving themselves and trying to find parking when running a series of errands.

Called Buddy Driver, customers can get their a "personal driver " to drive them in their own car to their destination.

Customers can make as many stops as they like within the booking period and the Buddy Driver will be waiting at their convenience.

With Oneway Airport service, customers can get a SOCAR delivered to their doorstep for them to drive to the airport.

They can then drop the car off at the SOCAR zone upon arrival at the airport.

There is also the Oneway Intercity service where customers can just drop the car off at the designated SOCAR zone upon arrival.
