KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, has unveiled the official price and availability of a new special edition Ford Ranger XLT Plus.
Priced at RM136,888 on-the-road, without insurance, registration and road tax, for Peninsular Malaysia only, the Ranger XLT Plus Special Edition is now open for booking.
Display units will arrive at all Ford showrooms nationwide from March 10.

However, Ranger fans, truck enthusiasts and members of the public who want to get a first look can head on to the Ground Floor, Centre Court at Queensbay Mall in Penang where one unit of the special edition will be on preview from Feb 24 to 27.
The Ranger XLT Plus Special Edition gets a refreshed exterior for a bold, forward-looking and powerful statement along with a new Ford Block-Letter front grille design, more pronounced fender flares and redesigned sports bars.

Inside, the special edition comes with a free in-built digital video recorder (DVR) that provides a range of functions, including high-definition (HD) recording, wide-angle viewing, night view recording, a built-in polarised filter, Mobile App connect via hotspot and new illuminated front scuff plates with the Ranger logo.
Compatible with both Apple iOS and Android, the DVR also comes with a 32GB memory card, which allows drivers to record their life adventures or as a safety feature.

Powering the XLT Plus Special Edition is a 2.0-litre Single-Turbo engine capable of delivering 180PS and 420Nm of torque mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Other features include Easy Lift Tailgate, SYNC® multimedia system with reversing camera, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4x4, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control, Adaptive Load Control and Ford MyKey.
