PETALING JAYA: Here's a heads-up. There's a new tyre coming to town and it's called Toyo Proxes CR1.
As with many events set against a pandemic backdrop, Toyo Tires is playing it safe by launching its latest product in Malaysia on Nov 19.
The live streaming session can be viewed at 9pm on that day at Toyo Tyre Malaysia’s Facebook page.
Technical details, available sizes and pricing would be revealed during the livestream.
In a brief statement today, Toyo Tires said the Proxes CR1 is a tyre designed to provide a premium, smooth and relaxing drive for passenger cars and SUVs. It claims to offer superior performance on both wet and dry road conditions, improved fuel efficiency and a longer tyre life. Such feats are achieved through the company's proprietary "T-Mode and Nano Balance Technology" that optimises the performance of tread components, it said.
During the livestream, Malaysian drift driver, Tengku Djan Ley Tengku Mahaleel, will share personal feedback from using the Proxes CR1 on his Mercedes-Benz C 230. He had put the tyres to the test at the Setia City Convention Centre car park in Shah Alam recently.
During this interactive virtual event, prizes would be given away to 53 lucky winners. The first three winners to click LIKE, SHARE video and ANSWER all 5 questions correctly would walk away with 1 set of Proxes CR1 tyres while the remaining 50 winners would be rewarded with a RM20 Petronas petrol card each.
