GWM Malaysia is showcasing its multi-category, multi-powertrain vehicle line-up at the StarCarSifu Auto Show 2026, alongside a range of exclusive offers and activities for visitors.
Reflecting GWM’s “For Every User, For Every Journey” approach to mobility, the showcase brings together vehicles designed for different lifestyles and driving needs, spanning urban commuting and family travel to premium mobility and off-road adventure.
Among the models on display are the soon-to-be-launched GWM ORA 5 HEV, GWM TANK 300 HEV, GWM HAVAL H6 HEV, as well as the GWM WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV.
Visitors can also get behind the wheel of selected GWM models, including the GWM WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV and TANK 500 HEV, with a GWM towel available for those who participate in a test drive.
One of the key highlights is an early look at the soon-to-be-launched GWM ORA 5 HEV, a compact urban crossover that expands ORA’s presence into a broader lifestyle mobility segment.
Powered by GWM’s Hi2 hybrid technology, the ORA 5 HEV pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a maximum system output of 223PS and 476Nm of torque.
It accelerates from 0–100kph in 7.7 seconds while returning a claimed fuel consumption figure of 4.4 litres per 100km.
With a driving range exceeding 1,100km, the ORA 5 HEV is designed to balance efficiency with the flexibility required for both everyday urban commuting and longer journeys.
For those seeking more adventurous mobility, the GWM TANK 300 HEV brings electrification to GWM’s hardcore off-road SUV offering.
Priced at RM259,800, the TANK 300 HEV pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 245PS and 380Nm with an electric motor delivering 106PS and 268Nm.
Together, the hybrid system produces a combined 255kW (346PS) and 648Nm of torque, delivering stronger and more responsive performance while retaining the model’s authentic off-road character.
Representing GWM’s family-focused SUV offering is the HAVAL H6 HEV, priced at RM139,800 on-the-road without insurance.
Its hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged direct-injected petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 243PS and 530Nm of torque.
The front-wheel-drive C-segment SUV has a claimed combined fuel consumption of 5.8 litres per 100km and can travel up to 1,000km on a full 61-litre petrol tank, providing the range and efficiency suited to both daily commuting and longer family journeys.
At the premium end of GWM’s off-road SUV range is the seven-seater GWM TANK 500 HEV, priced at RM328,800.
Its 2.0-litre turbocharged hybrid powertrain produces 346PS and 648Nm of torque and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Beyond its luxury-focused cabin, the GWM TANK 500 HEV is equipped with GWM’s Intelligent All-Terrain System, offering 11 selectable driving modes for different driving conditions.
These include functions such as Tank Turn and Off-road Cruise Control, supporting its positioning as a luxury SUV with genuine all-terrain capability.
Also featured is Malaysia’s best-selling luxury new energy MPV in Q1 2026, the GWM WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV, GWM Malaysia’s premium electrified MPV priced at RM269,800.
Designed around the brand’s “First Class for All” philosophy, the GWM WEY G9 combines a spacious three-row cabin with premium comfort and intelligent hybrid technology.
Its Hi4 Intelligent Hybrid AWD system delivers 442PS and 642Nm of torque, while offering up to 170km of pure electric driving range and a total driving range exceeding 1,000km.
Beyond its vehicle line-up, GWM Malaysia is also introducing greater convenience for customers through its collaboration with Touch ‘n Go.
Every new GWM vehicle booked and registered from Aug 1, 2026 onwards will come with a pre-installed or bundled Touch ‘n Go x GWM branded RFID tag as standard.
In conjunction with the Merdeka and Hari Malaysia celebrations, GWM Malaysia is running a nationwide customer campaign from Aug 1 to Sept 30, 2026.
Customers who book a new GWM vehicle during the campaign period and complete their vehicle registration by Sept 30 will be eligible to participate in the grand lucky draw, with prizes worth up to RM180,000 in total, while six lucky customers will also stand a chance to receive up to RM1,000 in toll cashback.
Customers can also enjoy limited-time savings of up to RM30,000 on selected GWM models throughout August, while every new GWM vehicle purchased comes with five years of free service maintenance.
The Merdeka campaign toll cashback promotion and complimentary RFID tag is applicable to eligible vehicle registrations in Peninsular Malaysia only.
Visitors to the GWM display at the StarCarSifu Auto Show can also enjoy complimentary coffee and other activities, while customers who book a vehicle at the show will receive a GWM tumbler.
