The 2024 Kia EV9 has earned the prestigious title of Electric Car of the Year and the Best Electric Luxury 3-row Seating Vehicle at the StarCarSifu Editors' Choice Awards 2024.The awards' ceremony took place at M Resort Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and honoured outstanding cars for advancements and innovations in areas such as design, features and green technology.

The event was attended by Transport Ministry secretary-general Datuk Jana Santhiran Muniayan, Transport Ministry Land Division undersecretary Datuk Mohamed Irwan Mansor, Malaysian Automotive Association president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain, Malaysian Advertisers Association president Claudian Navin Stanislaus, and Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute deputy CEO Nizmar Mohd Nazar.

The EV9 debuted in Malaysia last May with on-the-road without insurance prices of RM369,668 (7-seater) and RM374,668 (6-seater).
The Kia EV9 is Kia's first dedicated three-row flagship electric SUV, built on the advanced Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
It combines bold innovation, modern design, and cutting-edge technology, redefining the SUV market and underscoring Kia’s leadership in electric mobility.

Powered by a 99.8kWh battery and dual motors, the EV9 delivers 380hp and 700Nm of torque, and an impressive 505km range.
