KUALA LUMPUR: The all-electric Suzuki e Vitara SUV (sport utility vehicle) has been launched, and offers a driving range of 426km.
It is priced from RM188,000 (on-the-road without insurance).
All purchases are backed by a five-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, five-year/100,000km BEV (battery electric vehicle) components warranty and an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty.
Underpinned by the all-new Heartect-e platform, the e Vitara has a new eAxle system which comprises of a 61kWh battery and a single motor capable of 128kW (172hp) and 193Nm of torque.
With rapid DC charging, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes.
AC charging from 10% to 100% takes nine hours, using a 7kW charger.
It adopts a bold design inspired by the concept of a “Metal Beast”, combining a futuristic digital aesthetic with a muscular SUV stance.
Measuring 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,635mm in height, with a generous 2,700mm wheelbase and up to 306 litres of cargo capacity, the e Vitara offers a spacious and practical cabin.
It has a gross weight of 2,250kg and rolls on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 225/55 tyres.
The premium cabin combines new Melange jersey upholstery, piano black accents, high luminance dark silver trim and textured geometric detailing.
Materials include perforated synthetic leather and brown synthetic leather.
The Integrated Display System (IDS), which houses the instrument cluster and central infotainment display into a single unit, provides access to vehicle information, climate controls and connectivity features.
The cabin also features a floating centre console with shift-by-wire controls, wireless Qi smartphone charging, front ACC socket and two USB ports (USB-A and USB-C), rear USB ports (USB-A and USB-C) and smartphone tray, ambient illuminated storage tray, rear armrest with cupholders, and flexible luggage compartment with configurable seating arrangements.
Safety features include Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II), multiple collision braking, Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Adaptive High Beam System (AHS), high beam assist, Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), an impact-absorbing body structure, pedestrian injury mitigation body, and Total Effective Control Technology (TECT).
The e Vitara also features a 360-degree camera system with bird’s-eye and eye-level views.
Customers can choose from five colour options, namely Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic, Bluish Black Pearl, Land Breeze Green Pearl Metallic and Bluish Black Pearl, Splendid Silver Pearl Metallic and Bluish Black Pearl, and Grandeur Grey Pearl Metallic and Bluish Black Pearl.
Further supporting customers is Naza Eastern Motors’ nationwide network of 14 sales outlets and 13 service centres.
The first 10 buyers will receive five years of free EV charging at selected dealerships.
Naza Eastern Motors also introduced a new five-year, unlimited mileage vehicle warranty programme for selected Suzuki models in Malaysia (Jimny AllGrip Plus, Jimny Rhino Plus, Fronx and Fronx Sport).
The new vehicle warranty package replaces the previous three-year/100,000km warranty.
