Fully imported from Japan, the Swift Sport comes with a 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine that produces 140hp and 230Nm of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Because of its CBU status, the hatchback is selling for RM139,900. It comes with a three-year factory warranty.
Underpinning the car is the new-generation Heartech platform that ensures enhanced collision safety via its strengthened underbody rigidity while rewarding drivers a nippy and adrenaline pumping drive from its superb torque-to-weight ratio.
The Swift Sport gets a similar hatchback shape from the previous generation but now has a large honeycomb grille with carbon fibre finish skirting around the car.
Other features include paddle shifters, LED projector headlamps with distinctive daytime running lights, stealth rear door handles and hidden pillars to give the car a floating roof and coupe effect.
Front passengers get supportive semi-bucket seats with embossed “Sport” logo while rear passengers still have sufficient head and leg room despite the Swift Sport's compact dimensions.
Steering wheel is a sporty flat-bottom type with multi-function control buttons while the 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system supports Apple CarPlay.
The Swift Sport comes in four colours of Champion Yellow, Pearl Pure White, Speedy Blue Metallic, and Burning Red Pearl Metallic.
