Takaful Ikhlas rolls out digital roadside assist service

KUALA LUMPUR: Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad (Takaful Ikhlas)introduces its digital road assist service, Bantuan Ikhlas Road Assist Self-Service, a complimentary benefit to its motor takaful certificate holders, which aims to deliver fast, efficient, and reliable service when accessing roadside assistance.

Takaful Ikhlas in a statement today said the service focuses on customer convenience through digitalisation as it enables customers to pinpoint the precise whereabouts of their stranded vehicles, select preferred workshops to suit their preferences and receive notifications via WhatsApp.

"One of the most significant advantages of this service is its ability to inform customers through WhatsApp on service request acknowledgement and allowing them to track the progress of their tow truck service in real-time. This seamless coordination and clear communication ensure both parties are informed throughout the journey,” it said.

President and chief executive officer of Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin said they aimed to redefine the standards of roadside assistance and uphold their commitment to deliver reassurance in times of need, especially during festive seasons.

"Bantuan Ikhlas Road Assist Self-Service allows customers to handle emergency situations with ease and speed. As such, we want to elevate our customer experience from the moment a request for assistance is received up to the resolution of the issue, customers should feel at ease and secure,” she was quoted as saying in the statement.

The statement also said this self-service offers free 24-hour towing, as well as complimentary flood towing and locksmith services.

The service also extends to Singapore, southern Thailand and Brunei within a 25-kilometre radius of the Malaysian border, it said.

Bantuan Ikhlas Road Assist Self-Service is also made available with Bantuan Ikhlas Supreme, an extended benefit provided with additional payment.
