PETALING JAYA: The public is invited to test drive the all-electric iCAUR 03 iWD variant with all-wheel drive at a customised off-road circuit at 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
The iCAUR Public Roadshow is from 10am to 6pm, from June 20 to 22, at the Ground Floor Carpark (Old Wing), 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
The closed course consists of four unique challenges:
- iSee-Saw
A sharply contoured ramp that lifts the vehicle on its two wheels, testing frame rigidity and axle articulation.
- iSlide
A steep climb showcasing the iCAUR 03’s impressive 55% gradeability rating followed by a controlled descent highlights its precise torque delivery, and intelligent braking control.
- iSplash
A 400mm-deep water course allows the iCAUR 03 to demonstrate its water-wading abilities.
- iBreaker
With three wheels placed on rollers and one on the ground, this challenge showcases the iWD system’s ability to direct torque to a single wheel with traction, powering the vehicle smoothly over the obstacle.
Slated to be launched in the third quarter of 2025, the iCAUR 03 is estimated to be priced between RM145,000 and RM155,000.
Customers can secure their spot with a fully-refundable booking of RM1,000 at the roadshow at 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
The iCAUR 03 will come in two powertrain variants.
The 2WD variant features a 135kW (184PS) electric motor delivering 220Nm of torque, combined with a 65.7kWh LFP battery for an NEDC-rated 426km range.
Meanwhile, the Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) variant upgrades to dual motors producing 205kW (279PS) and 385Nm, paired with a 69.8kWh battery offering 418km range (NEDC).
The iCAUR 03's iROAD system offers up to 12 selectable all-terrain drive modes paired with a precision-engineered H-arm multilink rear suspension, enhancing rugged durability and axle articulation.
Meanwhile, the compact yet powerful 6-in-1 electric drive module — integrating the motor control unit, onboard charger, and converter — delivers smooth, responsive power and control.
Also, the iCARE safety system is billed as revolutionary, and features Malaysia's first all-aluminum monocoque chassis and body.
The iCAUR 03 is also said to feature an extraordinary 31,812 Nm per degree of torsional rigidity – surpassing many modern sports cars – and delivers exceptional crash protection, a weight reduction of 30%, whilst maintaining rugged durability.
Beyond the robust chassis, the iCAUR 03 incorporates an innovative 4-layer IPX8 battery armour system.
This multi-tiered protection combines a 10mm hardened aluminium impact shield with a Mica ceramic thermal barrier capable of withstanding extreme temperatures exceeding 1,000-degrees Celsius, plus dual additional protective layers.
Moving inside, the iBrand cockpit features a 15.6-inch central display and 9.2-inch instrument cluster, complemented by a 12-speaker Infinity audio system and 540-degree Transparent Chassis camera for complete situational awareness.
The iCAUR 03 with Level 2.5 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) offers Emergency Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Jam Assist.

iCAUR is an electric vehicle (EV) brand born from a collaboration between Chery and SmartMi Tech.
iCAUR plans to expand to 100 countries and open over 2,000 sales and service centres worldwide by 2028.
